A federal feasibility study is underway to address sediment buildup that has cut Bartlett and Horseshoe reservoirs' combined storage capacity by about 15%. SRP favors raising Bartlett Dam by 100 feet, which could expand Bartlett Reservoir to roughly 650,000 acre-feet from its current 168,000.

About Bartlett
Bartlett Lake sits behind Bartlett Dam on the Verde River, downstream of Horseshoe Reservoir and north of the Phoenix metro. It is the lower of the two Salt River Project reservoirs on the Verde.
Bartlett Dam was completed in 1939 and is operated by the Salt River Project. Releases continue down the Verde to its confluence with the Salt River.
Daily storage and elevation values come from SRP's Daily Water Report. AZMap presents a percent-of-capacity readout.
